Title:Introduction of the BOUT++ code
Abstract:BOUT++ is a newly developed code based on BOUT. The aim of BOUT++ is to automate the common tasks needed for simulation codes, and to separate the complicated details such as differential geometry, parallel communication, and file input/output from the user-specified equations to be solved. I'm going to introduce the fundamentals of the code.

Title: Particle-in-cell simulation on hot electrons generation using defocused laser light
Abstract:The effects of defocused of laser light on the properties of hot electrons are investigated using particle-in-cell simulations. The results indicate that, although the tight focus laser can maintain small divergence angle and spot size of electrons’ emission, defocused laser light can soften the electron energy spectrum and increase the coupling efficiency compared with using tight focus laser light. This effect turn out to be caused by the density profile of preplasma produced by the prepulse of laser light, which is less dense using defocused laser than using tight focus laser light. Therefore, it is more efficient to use defocused laser light, without producing so much preplasma. This scheme may improve the efficiency of fast ignition.
