Title:Un-conventional Mode Structures of Micro-instabilities under Steep Gradient
Abstract:Gyrokinetic simulations of recent HL-2A tokamak H-mode experiments using GTC code have shown un-conventional ballooning mode structures of the electrostatic trapped electron modes (TEM). Contrast to the convectional structures at weak gradient (L-mode) cases localized at outside, mode structures localize at arbitrary poloidal position or with multi-peaks at strong gradients (H-mode) cases have been observed in simulations. ITG 1D & 2D eigen solutions have also shown similar mode structures.
