Title: Introduction to ion-temperature gradient driven mode
Speaker: Ningfei Chen(陈凝飞)
Abstract: Ion-temperature gradient(ITG) driven mode is one of the candidates for plasma anomalous transport. In this presentation, I will briefly review several important analytical works published in 1980s and 1990s. Including derivation of local/WKB dispersion relation/eigenmode-equation using Gyrokinetic theory, the latter of which is then analyzed both in real and Fourier space using ballooning formalism.
