Title: Proton acceleration by laser beat pulse
Abstract:
The superposition of two pulses produces beats that are like pulses within a pulse. Beat signals can show up in the power of optical fields consisting of two frequency components. The laser beat pulses hit the target with a small interval of time rather than one big pulse while it interacts with a target. This may enhance the laser absorption rate and results in higher conversion efficiency and higher cut off energy. Using particle-in-cell simulation some phenomenon has been studied during the interaction of laser beat pulses with a proton rich Hydrogen layer.
