Abstract:With the development of stellarators, a need has arisen to calculate particle confinement performance in stellarator design and optimization. We developed a code, FP3D, which can calculate magnetic field by coils integral, magnetic surface by trace field line, rotational transform, particle motion with collision and electric field, transport coefficient by particle method. This code don't need given equilibrium. Elementary benchmark calculations are presented to verify the grid interpolations, field line calculations, collisionless particle orbits and transport coefficient. A calculation of transport coefficient in NCSX device is consistent with SFINCS results which use different method.
