Title: Interchange mode, magnetic well and stabilization of interchange instability by sloshing ions
Abstract: Interchange mode is one of the basic MHD instability. It is rarely found in tokamaks in q>1 region. In stellarators, it is an issue to make interchange mode stable because of its 3D magnetic structure. In this talk, a criterion of high-n ballooning-interchange stability will be introduced, as well as the concept of magnetic well. Sloshing ions method to stabilize the interchange mode will be mentioned.
