Summary for WLIS 2017
The 11th Westlake International Symposium (WLIS) on Energetic Particle Physics and Microturbulence in Magnetic Fusion has been held at Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China on April 24-26, 2017. This year’s West Lake International Symposium covered the theoretical, computational and experimental aspects of magnetic fusion plasmas with emphasis on the following two topics: energetic particle physics and microturbulence.
The conference was hosted by Institute for Fusion Theory and Simulation (IFTS), Zhejiang University, with about one hundred participants from China, Korea, Europe and the United States. There were totally 34 talks presented including 21 invited talks and 13 oral talks. The postdocs and graduate students were encouraged to make poster presentations. There were more than 30 posters presented in this conference. Intensive discussions have been made among the attendees to improve domestic and international communication and collaboration.
