Abstract: The well-known physical mechanism for fast magnetic reconnection (MR) in collisionless plasmas is that the off-diagonal terms of electron pressure tensor give rise to a large induction electric field in the reconnection region. The electron pressure tensor fully associated with electron kinetic effects is difficulty implemented into MHD model. Here we propose a concept of effective resistivity, which is derived from the kinetic effect in MR process, and can be implemented into MHD model well. The verification of this effective resistivity is conducted through full particle simulation. Its physical mechanism and expression are also addressed.
