Title: Gyrokinetic Particle Simulation of Dissipative (Collisonal) Trapped Electron Mode
Abstract:Electron turbulence induced by the trapped electron mode has been widely studied. Nonlinear gyrokinetic simulations based on the gyrokinetic particle simulation are carried out to investigate the collisional effects on the nonlinear saturation and transport of the dissipative trapped electron mode (DTEM) and collisionless trapped electron mode (CTEM). It is found the collisions can induce a radially inward low particle transport for both DTEM and CTEM, which is closely related the spectral cascade of the turbulence during the nonlinear saturation.
