Title: Elongation effect on Beta Induced Alfven Eigenmode
Abstract: Beta induced eigenmode (BAE) is one of dangerous instabilities that can degrade alpha particle confinement in fusion devices. Fusion plasmas are usually featured strong shaping in devices such as ITER and CFETR. We have recently extended the capability of DAEPS code to include the important shaping effect of elongation by modifying local s-α model. The relationship between linear dispersion of BAE and elongation is discovered and the underlying physics mechanism is illustrated.
