The joint meeting for the 4th International Workshop on Fusion Theory and Simulation & the opening ceremony of Fusion Simulation Center, Peking University, has been held in Beijing, China, October 20-22, 2010, sponsored by the Institute for Fusion Theory and Simulation, Zhejiang University (IFTS, ZJU), the Center for Magnetic Fusion Theory, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CMFT, CAS), and the Fusion Simulation Center, Peking University (FSC, PKU).
The meeting was hosted by Institute for Fusion Theory and Simulation (IFTS), Zhejiang University, with about one hundred participants from China, England, Japan, and the United States. There were totally 36 talks presented, focusing on the physics of magnetic fusion plasmas and other topics of current interest in space and laboratory plasmas. The meeting was organized by an international program committee led by Prof. Jiaqing Dong of IFTS.
