In order to further enhance collaboration among domestic and international scientists, and thereby to promote further developments in these fields, the Institute for Fusion Theory and Simulation, Zhejiang University (IFTS-ZJU) will hold the 7th International West Lake Symposium on magnetic fusion research at Zhejiang University in May 6-10, 2013.
This year’s West Lake International Symposium covered the theoretical, computational and experimental aspects of magnetic fusion plasmas with emphasis on the following two topics: energetic particle physics and microturbulence.
The Symposium was hosted by Institute for Fusion Theory and Simulation (IFTS), Zhejiang University, with about 89 participants from China, Korea, Italy, Japan and the United States. There were totally 26talks presented including invited talks and oral talks. The postdoctors and graduate students were encouraged to make poster presentations.
